Subject [jira] [Reopened] (APLO-6) Alternative topic separators should be supported in Apollo, as in ActiveMQ
Date Wed, 18 May 2011 21:26:47 GMT

Sam Starling reopened APLO-6:

Hi Hiram,

I am indeed still interested in this issue - but apologies for not having replied to your
question sooner. My preference would be to configure this at a broker level - I would imagine
that most users would be using the same topic delimiters broker-wide, but would welcome input
from others.

part: 'event/abc', it does not match regex: [a-zA-Z0-9\_\-\%\~]+

line 47 determines that {{path_seperator = new AsciiBuffer(".")}}. Thus, Apollo incorrectly
tokenizes the topic and so {{event/abc}} fails the regular expression on line 48 of the same
> In short, it should be possible to specify what the topic separator is, or (even better)
detect when a different character is being used as a delimiter.
