I have no bonds with the ant project, I am just a user. The idea proposed
below is something I don't agree will have the intended effect, a better idea
effect would be reached by publishing a reasonable number of reference-style
build files.
Things that are quite hard to do, or are not logical for someone coming from
the Makefile or unix backgrounds.
They are scattered around the documentation pages now, but that means you have
to know which tools to use to find them. I'd like to see references made from
practical problems and their ant solutions to the docs. I.e. another entry 
point for the docs. (which are quite good btw :)

This list is full of such examples, I'd suggest gathering them and writing
about the why and how of the solutions proposed.
