Subject AW: Problem with ANT FTP task
Date Sat, 20 Sep 2003 17:06:03 GMT

Hey, I have just seen that nobody answered this one.

I wonder whether the problem could not possibly be caused by directory
containing embedded spaces. I find strange also the space character between
/ and ATP_Order.class in your log message, but yes, it seems to be possible
on Windows to create a file whose name begins with a space. (Don't know if
this would be legal for a java source file in terms of java accepting to
compile it, ...)

If by chance you do not really need this directory, then you could try to
exclude it from your fileset

<fileset dir="ibm">
<exclude name="WebSphere ICS/**"/>

If you can fix directory and file names on the remote machine, and if the
problem is really due to the spaces as I suspect, maybe you can get rid of
these embedded spaces.

You can also try to switch to ant 1.6 and commons-net.jar (instead of ant
1.5 and netcomponents). I am not sure whether this solves the problem.

If with ant 1.6alpha it is not possible to download a file located in a
directory containing embedded spaces or a file whose name contains or starts
with and embedded space, then it is a bug, either of ant or of the
supporting library commons-net.
