Subject [Bug 54032] New: Default prefix incorrect in configure script
Date Sun, 21 Oct 2012 10:26:59 GMT

          Priority: P2
            Bug ID: 54032
          Assignee: bugs@apr.apache.org
Summary: Default prefix incorrect in configure script
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: All
          Reporter: 1983-01-06@gmx.net
          Hardware: All
            Status: NEW
           Version: 1.4.6
         Component: APR
           Product: APR

./configure --help says

By default, `make install' will install all the files in
`/usr/local/bin', `/usr/local/lib' etc. You can specify
an installation prefix other than `/usr/local' using `--prefix',
for instance `--prefix=$HOME'.

If you check config.layout, you'll see that layout 'apr' is being used which
defaults to /usr/local/apr. The 'classic' layout has the same issue.

Either layouts or --help output should be fixed.
