I believe, we'll try w_char support in next release to make internal
processing
in Unicode format.

I would say leave it.  This will be something that will need to be fixed
in future release.  Currently, AXIS assume everything is UTF-8.  In the
future, we should probably save data in wide-character format in the
engine, and convert the to UTF-8 outbound to the web service and present
the data in character-set of the process to clients (not sure about the
server-side of things).
