Subject [jira] Commented: (AXIS2C-1039) int64_t cast down to an in serialization of types
Date Sat, 01 Mar 2008 07:01:51 GMT

Senaka Fernando commented on AXIS2C-1039:

Hi Frank,

I thought we have added this properly. You are expected not to use (int) and there is a constant
to be used as the format specifier, AXIS2_PRINTF_INT64_FORMAT_SPECIFIER which should be used
instead of "%ld". This takes into consideration, your platform, and also the type of processor
on your system, so that we properly interpret the value. I hope you see no issues with uint64.

> In the serialization of the types, I was able to track down a problem where int64_t types
are cast down to int types, thereby causing truncation problems. In one of my generated code
excerpts, I get the following:
> sprintf (text_value_3, "%d", (int)_addMyType->property_myInt64Value);
