I redid the same test (creating the keyspace with data, then changing its replication factor
so it's replicated in DC2, then repairing) and it turns out that if you don't run a repair
on DC2 before changing the replication factor, the repair -pr works fine \-_\-.
Anyway, your solution worked, thank you for your help and sorry I polluted JIRA with my questions.
