Subject [jira] [Commented] (CASSANDRA-11154) CassandraDaemon in Managed mode fails to be restartable
Date Mon, 04 Apr 2016 20:01:25 GMT

Aleksey Yeschenko commented on CASSANDRA-11154:

Oh, and C* is definitely *not* designed to be in-memory restartable. There are many singletons
that would preserve state between restarts, {{Schema}} being just one of the many. I'm actually
not sure that a patch for just this ticket would really help you, and not just hide one symptom
of larger problems in the system. What I can do is provide a slightly better custom patch,
but that logic wouldn't make much sense to someone - and that change alone will most definitely
not make CassandraDaemon restartable, unfortunately. That would require a lot more effort.

> Restarting the CassandraDeamon in managed mode fails to restart due to duplicate migration
of already migrated keyspaces.
