Yes, a custom interface to define a {{longHashCode()}} would work, but that doesn't seem to
be a good general solution. I hope one day Java adds it onto Object.

I was playing with a [randomized W-TinyLFU|https://github.com/ben-manes/caffeine/commit/92f92f7a79a991d148cc88c9e691030dcebba22b]
earlier today. It works well. A random walk in Caffeine (as is) would be a little concerning
since that is a linked list traversal.

Cycling the victim through the probation passes Branimir's test and is my preference so far.
I need to run more simulations to ensure it doesn't have any surprising results.
