Subject [jira] [Created] (CASSANDRA-14175) Incorrect documentation about CASSANDRA_INCLUDE priority
Date Fri, 19 Jan 2018 08:25:01 GMT
Marcel Dopita created CASSANDRA-14175:

Summary: Incorrect documentation about CASSANDRA_INCLUDE priority
                 Key: CASSANDRA-14175
             Project: Cassandra
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Documentation and Website
            Reporter: Marcel Dopita

In _bin/cassandra_ the comments say:
{quote}The lowest priority search path is the same directory as the startup script...
However the "same directory" currently has the *highest* priority:
    # Locations (in order) to use when searching for an include file.
    for include in "`dirname "$0"`/" \
                   "$HOME/" \
                   /usr/share/cassandra/ \
                   /usr/local/share/cassandra/ \
                   /opt/cassandra/; do
        if [ -r "$include" ]; then
            . "$include"
It looks like around the release of v 2.0.0 the order was changed but the comments stayed
the same.
