C. Scott Andreas updated CASSANDRA-14863:

>
> Key: CASSANDRA-14863
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-14863
> Project: Cassandra
> Issue Type: Wish
> Components: Core

> Priority: Minor
>
> In general, the storage system utilizes the tiered storage strategy, that hot data is
stored on SSD, and put cold data on mechanical disk. We usually employ {color:#FF0000}*timewindowcompactionstrategy*
{color}in production,  and this is especially suitable for tiered storage. I wish the future
release of  cassandra involves tiered storage strategy.
