Subject [jira] [Closed] (CAY-1776) OutOfMemory during lifecycle events
Date Wed, 08 May 2013 12:55:16 GMT

Andrus Adamchik closed CAY-1776.

    Resolution: Fixed

Happy to hear it worked. I am considering making no-synch the default. After all this is most
appropriate for web apps. Anyways, I am closing the Jira as no work is planned to be done
anymore per this issue.

> Inside in Cayenne 3.0.2 and DefaultEventManager in Cayenne 3.1 there
is the inner class Dispatch with the following code:
> synchronized (eventQueue) {
>                     eventQueue.add(new InvocationDispatch(
>                             eventArgument,
>                             subject,
>                             invocation));
>                     eventQueue.notifyAll();
>                 }
> Inside my code a event listener is added once, but inside the eventQueue multiple InvocationDispatch
objects are created and never thrown away. When persisting thousands of objects the eventQueue
is filled up leading to OutOfMemory exceptions.
