Subject [jira] [Created] (CAY-1931) Sub ObjEntity 'NameEvent' has database declaration different from super ObjEntity 'Names', 'Names' being ABSTRACT

Christophe Dupriez created CAY-1931:
---------------------------------------

Summary: Sub ObjEntity 'NameEvent' has database declaration different from super
ObjEntity 'Names', 'Names' being ABSTRACT
                 Key: CAY-1931
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAY-1931
             Project: Cayenne
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Modeler
    Affects Versions: 3.1RC1
         Environment: Windows
            Reporter: Christophe Dupriez

I have an abstract Class 'Names' with various subclasses stored in DIFFERENT tables (NameEvent,
NameMachine, NameType, etc.). The modeler is issuing validation errors which seems to me irrelevant:
Sub ObjEntity 'NameEvent' has database declaration different from super ObjEntity 'Names',
'Names' being ABSTRACT
I did not had this message in 3.0.2 BUT it was NOT working. Now it is working in runtlme (which
is the most important) but I get this validation message in Modeler.
I see this is coming from a patch in 2011 proposed by dkazimirchyk:

I really appreciate Cayenne and I am eager to experiment 3.1 !
