Check for the point in the logs where you could find the word "exception" . I happened to see
that you are not able to add your instance because of the following exceptions -
com.cloud.exception.InsufficientServerCapacityException: Unable to create a deployment for
VM[User|i-2-5-VM]Scope=interface com.cloud.dc.DataCenter; id=1
2012-12-12 05:39:58
&
com.cloud.exception.AgentUnavailableException
Could you please verify the following -
1) com.cloud.exception.AgentUnavailableException: Resource [Host:4] is unreachable: Host
4: Host is not in the right state: Disconnected
2) Also could you check if your NFS path is correct or not ?
3) You might also want to check the db and verify if the host is in the correct state
and not "Removed".
Let me know if this helps.

Pranav

Hi Pranav:
Could you please educate me to read the log file (management-server.log)
Please find the log file with this mail as an attachment.
I did received an error message while trying to add:
1. An Instance
2. Primary Storage
Thank you
Prakash

The best approach I would suggest is to check the logs and verify at which point the exception
actually occurred . The explanation mentioned there should be reasonable enough to give you
an understanding of the same . You could check it from the management server logs (vmops.log)
which will give the details of the entire stack trace.

Pranav

Hi:
Sometimes VM is getting added successfully and some time is displaying the following message:
Unable to create a deployment for VM[User|i-2-3-VM]
Where to look out for solutions to such a type of errors. or
The error message should be userfriendly message instead of code.
Regards
Prakash
