After stopping a instance/VM's, there are no icon for snapshot also (refer link: https://postimg.org/image/3lthssprd/).
There can only do snapshot on volume.

It’s need to stop and the icon will appear after instance/VM’s completely stop.

Hello Zainal,



There are two type of snapshot ,



1- VM's snapshot

2- disk snapshot



and yes you can take either VM's snapshot or disk snapshot from running vm's
