Subject Cocoon installation problems on FreeBSD
Date Mon, 18 Dec 2000 01:21:07 GMT

I've installed Cocoon 1.8 on FreeBSD 4.2, and I'm getting the
following error when I try to call up Cocoon.xml:

Cocoon 1.8

Publishing Engine could not be initialized.

java.lang.RuntimeException: Error creating org.apache.cocoon.processor.xsp.XSPProcessor: make
sure the needed classes can be found in the classpath (org/apache/turbine/services/resources/TurbineResourceService)
 at org.apache.cocoon.framework.Manager.create(
 at org.apache.cocoon.framework.Router.init(
 at org.apache.cocoon.framework.Manager.create(
 at org.apache.cocoon.Engine.(
 at org.apache.cocoon.Engine.getInstance(
 at org.apache.cocoon.Cocoon.init(
 at org.apache.jserv.JServServletManager.load_init(
 at org.apache.jserv.JServServletManager.loadServlet(
 at org.apache.jserv.JServConnection.processRequest(

I don't use this connection pool stuff, but commenting it out of
doesn't succeed in stopping the error.

Is there a workaround to this error?
