I'm pretty sure the <esql:connection, dburl, etc needs to be within 
the <esql:execute-query> tag.

Also, perhaps try the connection pool thingey.  It is much nicer than 
hard coding a password/user in each page.  You can find more about 
it in cocoon.properties
