Thank you for your answer. I don't tested it yet, but this workaround
seems not to be very elegant. ;)

... and does this also really fit my needs?

MYSQL DB:
".... this is an example \nr
with an linefeed"

XHTML should be:
<p>".... this is an example <br/> with a linefeed"</p>
