quick and dirty solurion that always works: send an html page to the client which only contains
a meta-refresh. I know, it is not the most elegant way, but really a solid solution, also
working after mod_cache/squid/company proxies:

<html>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=/foo/bar"/>
</html?
