Indeed Jos,

That's what we are trying to do.
E.g. avoiding that <hello/> becomes &lt;hello/&gt;

Actually we have data from a varchar database field containing a String with HTML tagged data,
e.g. tags for bold (<strong>This text is bold</strong>), for italic (<em>This
text is italicized</em>), etc ... and we want this formatting finally to be represented
by the browser.
