Date Wed, 21 Nov 2012 10:11:58 GMT

Mladen Turk resolved DAEMON-256.

    Resolution: Won't Fix

Using capabilities is the preferred way.
If it's broken or unexpected file the JIRA.
Allowing compiling without capabilities library is for legacy systems only.

> It would be nice to have special parameter for compilation JSVC without "Capabilities"
option. JSVC is compiled automatically with this option when libcap-devel package is installed.
During compilation without libcap-devel package is only printed line:
> WARNING: cannot find headers for libcap.
> I use jsvc quite often, with "Capabilities" option is behaviour unexpected, no messages
after run binary without assigned correct rights, in documentation is not described what and
how to properly set.
> For my purposes is "Capabilities" option unnecessary complication. I would appreciate
to have possibility deactivate this option, e.g.:
> $ ./configure --without-libcap ...
