Steven Bethard commented on CTAKES-72:

A big +1 on getting rid of everything but the one clinical documents pipeline launch.

In general, I think we should avoid Eclipse launch files as much as possible, since they'll
be unusable from the command line, from Intellij, from Netbeans, etc.

> --------------------------------------------
> Key: CTAKES-72
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CTAKES-72
> Project: cTAKES
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Reporter: Pei Chen
> I think we can remove all of these individual .launch files for each project... Can't
we just have a single one for CVD/CPE from the main project that contains all the necessary
dependencies- After which, you can choose the AE/Pipeline you wish to run.
> At a minimum, at least remove duplicates:
> /ctakes/ctakes-clinical-pipeline/resources/launch/CVD cTAKES.launch
> /ctakes/trunk/ctakes-clinical-pipeline/resources/launch/UIMA_CVD--clinical_documents_pipeline.launch
> Also consider adding Jorn's suggestion:
> The lastest UIMA release contains an eclipse launcher for AEs and AAEs. Depending on
your use case that is easier to use than CVD or CPE.
> As input you can specify text or xmi files in the launch configuration and the output
can optionally written to a folder.
> The xmi files can be viewed and edited with the Cas Editor (another eclipse plugin).
