Hi Amir,

As Lily pointed out, you can get the information you need from the 
system catalog SYSALIASES. However, to tease out a lot of the 
information you need, you may have to unpack the object in 

You can probably get the information you need from the JDBC metadata. 
That would be the clean, supported way to gather this information. The 
following useful methods were introduced in Java 6:


These methods will give you the metadata for both system and 
user-created functions.
