Subject [jira] [Commented] (DIRSERVER-2170) ApacheDS Migration from M19 to M23 with data and config
Date Tue, 25 Oct 2016 15:47:58 GMT

Emmanuel Lecharny commented on DIRSERVER-2170:

the main issue is to merge the config, as there was some changes in the format. Ideally speaking,
the best solution would be to use Studio to get this done, but the latest Studio version does
not work well with ApacheDS M23. However, you can also install the dev version from,
that will allow you to configure ApacheDS M23.

Regarding the data, I *think* (from the top of my head) that you don't have to migrate the
file, as its format hasn't change. You can probably copy the file. In any case, be sure to
extract your data in a LDIF file.

We don't provide (yet) migration tools, because we are still (and for quite a long time, I
must admit) in a Milestone mode. As soon as we will have a GA, we will add some tools to migrate
both teh config and the data.

Just let us know if it works.
