Hello drill community,

I've been looking to join your slack channel (
https://apache-drill.slack.com/),however, it is not open, I also noticed
there is a #drill channel in the apache slack (https://the-asf.slack.com/)
but it's probably un-official and with almost zero activity (only 6
members).

I would like to share some issues (before opening any jira) I'm seeing when
integrating the main branch with HDP 3 for reading Hive ORC managed tables.
