Subject [jira] [Commented] (FALCON-106) Falcon compilation fails for hadoop-2 profile
Date Mon, 16 Sep 2013 14:26:55 GMT

Suresh Srinivas commented on FALCON-106:

[~shwethags], thanks for the comments.

I spent quite a bit of time on enabling hadoop-2 profile. Unfortunately possibly due to a
maven bug with hadoop-2 profile, hadoop-core-1.1.2.jar gets bundles into war files. This is
not the case with -Dhadoop.profile=2. This despite the effective pom generated being identical
with flags -Phadoop-2 and -Dhadoop.profile=2.

Currently I am going to deprioritize enabling build with -Phadoop-2 flag and use -Dhadoop.profile=2
for testing falcon with hadoop 2.x release. I will leave this bug as open.

I will also create a new jira to document building falcon with hadoop 2.x.
