Hi, I bumped into the same limitation when trying to add a Drag and Drop from a list to a
In my case, I wanted to know the drop Index because I'm linking objects.

In order to solve this, I found the code used to create and position the Hover Indicator and
then re-used it for the DragEvent. It works OK.

I'm sure there must be a cleaner implementation, but if not, at least its a workaround.

I've attached a AS3 file with the Extended Datagrid component that I'm working on.
