Hi! Thanks for taking this task. Sorry for the slow reply.

I suggest simply writing a savepoint that the greeter example can use (make a copy of the
greeter example functions in your E2E code), say X user has already been seen 2 times.
Then, restore the greeter functions from the created savepoint, and write a Kafka record and
verify that the output is correct w.r.t. the state.
