Subject [jira] [Commented] (GIRAPH-756) Provide a way to halt running application
Date Mon, 17 Nov 2014 17:50:34 GMT

Rishabh Wadhawan commented on GIRAPH-756:

How to use this patch for your Giraph, I am sorry but I am new to it. I am running Single
Source Shortest Path example with giraph 1.1.0 on top of hadoop 2.5.1. My mapper executes
100% but process never halts. How can I use the apache zookerper zk node to stop the process,
which is being provided by this patch.

> It would be good to have a way to tell a running application to halt after current superstep
is done instead of just killing it. For example, it would be useful when we have a long running
application, but we need resources for another job, or we see that the result is good enough,
we can just halt it and still get the output.
