Can you give an example of where this would be useful?  I do not think we should commit this
unless we have at least one use-case.

I also think we should consider supporting an escaping mechanism.  Perhaps commas prefaced
by backslashes can turn into commas embedded in elements.  This would remove the need for
changing the delimiter altogether, and be a compatible change.
