Subject [jira] [Commented] (HADOOP-15356) Make HTTP timeout configurable in ADLS Connector
Date Wed, 02 May 2018 23:33:00 GMT

Sean Mackrory commented on HADOOP-15356:

Good one - attached an addition to core-default.xml and troubleshooting.md (and I checked
the resulting html for correctness). How's that for wording? If anyone's wondering, the "compute
framework" referred to where I've actually seen this problem a bunch is on Impala workloads,
but I suspect the advice is generally applicable.

Any other feedback from [~stevel@apache.org]?

> Currently the HTTP timeout for the connections to ADLS are not configurable in Hadoop.
This patch enables the timeouts to be configurable based on a core-site config setting. Also,
up the ADLS SDK version to 2.2.8, that has default value of 60 seconds - any optimizations
to that setting can now be done in Hadoop through core-site.
