Yeah. The problem of enforcing the scale alignment at the client side is that it only works
for one client. For instance, this patch will not fix Hue, which uses thrift APIs. Thus, it
seems fixing at the server side-side is a better approach. I understand that this will require
some refactoring work, but it doesn't seem too bad  from a brief look.
