Looks good, it looks like mysql has same syntax.  Btw, for clients to check on remote cluster
use-case, there is already DatabaseMetadata on JDBC which has the version, but this seems
useful from sql point of view.

Just a question, is the build stuff important for your use case, or can we just return the
simple version?  Mysql has the latter only as I see, and it would make parsing easier to tools.
