I don't think the change in HIVE-18990 is correct... close is supposed to already take care
of all the stuff getSession does.
Also it makes no sense imo to wait for AM when user wants to cancel the session... killing
it seems to me to be the right thing to do.
At any rate, if getSession is called all the other state-related code in close is not needed.
