You want to think futher; how are you going to manage the OS, how to do
security patches on OS level, application level, how to do configuration
management on that scale ? How are you doing monitoring, trust management,
security ?

Just solving the apache issue is not going to cut it. Have a look at cor
Bosman his paper: http://www.nluug.nl/events/sane2002/papers/SANE.ps - but
there are many similar ideas/systems.
