Subject RE: [users@httpd] Uninstall Apache
Date Mon, 03 Mar 2003 15:44:53 GMT
Boyle,
	I have followed those instructions and reinstalled. All seems
well. I was told that I'd have a "/etc/init.d/apache" or
"/etc/init.d/httpd" file but I don't. Do you know how I can make Apache
available as a service? Thanks, Jeremy

Then everything is under the default path, /usr/local/apache2. As Joshua
advised;

	rm -rf /usr/local/apache2

will well and truly zap it. In general, the entire distribution is
installed under the path defined by the "--prefix" switch during the
"configure" stage.
