Subject [users@httpd] mod_rewrite question
Date Mon, 17 Mar 2003 19:26:42 GMT
Hi,

I have a reverse proxy box that uses apache
and the server that it is serving web-pages
for is dynamic and sometimes sends back urls
with absolute path instead of relative path
and this causes problems with the information
after the / in the url to get lost.

Example

http://server/foo/

gets proxy passed and reverse proxy passed to

http://content/

Sometimes links lose the /foo in the browser
and this breaks the reverse proxy because
it then starts looking locally.

I'm hoping to use a mod_rewrite rule to ensure
that any link written back to the browser
will maintain that first subdirectory.

Is this worded in a way that makes sense?

Thanks in advance.

Jimmy
