Subject [users@httpd] strange http-headers
Date Sat, 03 May 2003 06:57:14 GMT
On of my Perl-applications logs all ENV-variables to an XML-file for
debugging-purposes. Recently, I saw this:

                ...
                <server_protocol>HTTP/1.1</server_protocol>
                <http________________>~~~~~ ~~~~~~~</http________________>
                <request_uri>/cgi-bin/contactme.cgi</request_uri>
                <gateway_interface>CGI/1.1</gateway_interface>

<http________>~~~~:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~</http________>
                <server_addr>xxx.xxx.xxx.xx</server_addr>
                ...

Does anyone know where those mailformed http_______-headers came from? Since
they're beginning with http_, I would say the client, but he was using a
recent version of IE, with which I never saw this problem.

Kind Regards,
Sander Holthaus
