Subject [users@httpd] Virtual Hosts with ssl
Date Thu, 15 May 2003 21:43:39 GMT
Hi all,
I have a RH 7.2 box running Apache 2 and Tomcat.
I just setup SSL.
When I point my browser to:
http://www.mydomain.com I get the correct host.
if I point it to
https://www.mydomain.com I get my ssl host.
When I point my browser to:
https://secure.mydomain.com I get the correct host
if I point it to
http://secure.mydomain.com I get my http host.
I understand why this is happening, but how do I stop it.

Here is an example of my Virtual Host in my httpd.conf
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx = my ip address
<VirtualHost xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:80>
ServerAdmin webmaster@mydomain.com
DocumentRoot /domain/mydomain/htdocs
ServerName www.mydomain.com
ErrorDocument 404 /index.html
ErrorLog /domain/mydomian/logs/error_log
CustomLog /domain/mydomain/logs/access_log common

Here is an example of my Virtual Host in my ssl.conf
<VirtualHost xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:443>

# General setup for the virtual host
DocumentRoot "/usr/local/apache2/htdocs"
ServerName secure.mydomain.com
ServerAdmin webmaster@mydomain.comErrorLog logs/error_log
TransferLog logs/access_log

Thanks DC
