There's two ways to do it.   One is to let Apache proxy all requests back to
tomcat, which will obfuscate tomcat, but not really "integrate" them.   See
http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-4.1-doc/proxy-howto.html  This
allows tomcat to run on port 8080, but the client only sees Apache running
on 80 (standard for web apps).  This works pretty good.
 
The other is to load a module into apache.   This method uses the jk module.
