Subject [users@httpd] Adding and removing mod_auth users to apache 1.3.27 without a restart

Hi,

I'm running RedHat 7.3 and RedHat's apache distribution version 1.3.23-11.

I have apache + mod_ssl + mod_auth setup with basic-auth. I have 5 different
https URLs (these provide different info about the system in question) that I
want to restrict access to. I have made each URL accessable to only one group
and want to add and remove users from those groups without restarting apache.
While apparently I can add users without restarting apache I don't know how
to remove users or change who belongs to which groups without a restart.

Is mod_auth combined with 'require' core directives the best way to go about
this? I've googled for another approach but have so far drawn blanks.

Thanks for your consideration.

Will
