Hi Otis,

thanks for bringing up this issue. I have to admit I did not found the
time to see how we can get on the above repos and if somebody can give
us a helping hand on this issue it would be greatly welcome. I think
Ryan talked about adding droids to hudson build (AIU this will add
droids as well to the snapshot repo).

We want to make a first release of droids as pointed out in another
thread but till now nobody stepped up to do put on the rm heat.

I will try to find some times to bring the ball to roll and welcome any
helping hand. Bertil had send me his solution for an enhanced
interaction with solr via cocoon 3 off-list since his code is very
specific to his use case. I am ATM identifying and extracting components
to add them to cocoon and droids.

As soon I have done this, I need to reply Olivier and write a small wiki
page on the different approaches to interact with solr. A

fter this releasing is my priority number 1. However if somebody can
start the release process I will dedicate some time to give a helping
hand. As well if somebody can start a wiki page on solr interaction that
will help as well a lot.

Thanks Otis for your feedback and could you attach the patch to our
issue tracking so it does not get lost. TIA

salu2
