Subject [jira] [Commented] (OAK-2576) ServiceEvent on each session login/logout
Date Wed, 04 Mar 2015 20:06:38 GMT

Michael Dürig commented on OAK-2576:

On a more general note I find that hidden contract of {{Whiteboard#register}} not being able
to cope with many (un)registrations disturbing. (How much is 'many' anyway?). This is even
more problematic as 'many' is implementation dependent and the problem doesn't show up in
any of the tests/ITs/benchmarks we have in Oak.

> ServiceEvent on each session login/logout
> -----------------------------------------
> Key: OAK-2576
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OAK-2576
> Project: Jackrabbit Oak
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: core
> Affects Versions: 1.0.12
> Reporter: Marcel Reutegger
> Assignee: Marcel Reutegger
> Fix For: 1.0.13
> This is caused by OAK-2407 where a GCMonitor is registered on login. This will result
in a lot of service events when there are many short-lived sessions and Oak is deployed in
an OSGi container.
