Joseph Abraham resolved OAK-7597.
---------------------------------
    Resolution: Not A Bug

Thanks for the update [~catholicon]

I was able to validate the behavior with and without  the includedPaths along the lines
of the documentation provided. It works as intended.

> Issue encountered while testing the newer NRT/Hybrid Lucene index
>
> In one of my tests, it worked perfectly fine when I defined the index under /oak:index
with an includedPaths value (/var/<someCustomAuditPath) along the lines of the slides shared
in oakathon 2017.
>
> But since, I was adding an index rule for nt:unstructured and only interested in nodes
under a certain path, I thought it would make sense to move it under the specific path hierarchy
to ensure that other queries don't trigger evaluation on this index.
>
> But I noticed that this index stopped indexing nodes when I created the index as a
path based one under /var/<someCustomAuditPath with the similar index definition.
> This is in-spite of having over 100 nodes indexed with the same definition when placed
at  "/oak:index" with the same path as an entry in the includedPaths.
