Subject RE: [jira] Updated: (JAMES-99) RFC1894 format notification
Date Wed, 14 Apr 2004 19:36:24 GMT
Soren and All,

In support of MDN, as per RFC 2298, this weekend I was planning to commit...

- org.apache.james.util.mail.MimeMultipartReport
- org.apache.james.util.mail.handlers.message_disposition_notification
- org.apache.james.util.mail.handlers.multipart_report

... to support the Mime types required by RFC 1894 and RFC 2298. Plus...

- org.apache.james.util.mail.mdn.MDNFactory plus 21 supporting classes to
create an RFC 2298 compliant MimeMultipartReport.

As RFC 1894 also needs MimeMultipartReport support, it makes sense that both
MDN and DSN use the same MimeMultipartReport implementation.

How should we proceed? If you do not have a MimeMultipartReport
implementation as yet, I will go ahead as planned. Otherwise we should
choose which implementation to use.
