Expansion of james.sar does not expand lib directory
----------------------------------------------------

         Key: JAMES-330
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JAMES-330
     Project: James
        Type: Bug
  Components: James Core
    Versions: 2.2.0
 Environment: Win2000, JDK 1.5.0 or 1.4.2_05
    Reporter: Benoit Xhenseval
    Priority: Critical

Clean install of james-2-2-0
go to the bin directory
1/ double click on run.bat

C:\java\james-2.2.0\bin>run
Using PHOENIX_HOME: C:\java\james-2.2.0
Using PHOENIX_TMPDIR: C:\java\james-2.2.0\temp
Using JAVA_HOME: c:\j2sdk1.4.2_05

Phoenix 4.0.1

org.apache.excalibur.containerkit.lifecycle.LifecycleException: Component named "mailstore"
failed to pass through the Initializat
ion stage. (Reason: org.apache.avalon.framework.component.ComponentException: Cannot find
or init repository).
        at org.apache.excalibur.containerkit.lifecycle.LifecycleHelper.fail(LifecycleHelper.java:289)
        at org.apache.excalibur.containerkit.lifecycle.LifecycleHelper.startup(LifecycleHelper.java:159)
        at org.apache.avalon.phoenix.components.application.DefaultApplication.startup(DefaultApplication.java:480)
        at org.apache.avalon.phoenix.components.application.DefaultApplication.doRunPhase(DefaultApplication.java:428)

etc

--- Message ---
Failed to start application james.
--- Stack Trace ---
org.apache.avalon.phoenix.interfaces.DeploymentException: Failed to start application james.
        at org.apache.avalon.phoenix.components.deployer.DefaultDeployer.deploy(DefaultDeployer.java:379)

There is NO SAR-INF in apps/james/ directory

2/ If I copy james.jar and mailet_1_0.jar into james\lib, I get:
C:\java\james-2.2.0\bin>run
Using PHOENIX_HOME: C:\java\james-2.2.0
Using PHOENIX_TMPDIR: C:\java\james-2.2.0\temp
Using JAVA_HOME: c:\j2sdk1.4.2_05

Phoenix 4.0.1

James 2.2.0
Remote Manager Service started plain:4555
POP3 Service started plain:110
SMTP Service started plain:25
NNTP Service started plain:119
Fetch POP Disabled
FetchMail Disabled

However, the apps/james/SAR-INF/lib contains only one file: mm.mysql.LICENCE
Which could have caused the problem described in 1/

It does not seem to work on a clean install.... and it does not seem to expand fully the james.sar
when it does start.
Regards
