Norman Maurer commented on JAMES-285:

Just found hist emailaddress and send a email:

there is still a report in the james mailserver jira which is very
intressting. Its based on your patch that was made to support
maildir ,ldap, smtp acl in james... The only problem that seems at the
moment is that you just post your patch on the maillinglist but not to
jira. So you don't have accept the asf license and so the code couldn't
include in james. Maybe you can have a look at the post in jira and post
the patch there again with accept the asf ?
That would be very nice cause you patch rocks! Here is the link:

Hope its okay to contact you this way. I hope also you are the person i
searched ;-)

Any feedback would be nice.

> Project: James
> Type: New Feature

> Need to go through Alex's contributed code and check the LDAP stuff for inclusion in
> Specifically:
> - Verify code is under ASF compatible license
> - Split LDAP code from Alex's patch and ensure that it works in isolation with James
> - Update James config accordingly
> - Ensure all libraries are available that need to be and modify build scripts accordingly
