I see that our original file DOES INCLUDE the license header:

So it must be maven removing it while deploying or something similar.

Apart from reporting the maven bug, should we do anything else? I would
avoid manually changing the staged files before any release, if
possible. But if this is mandatory then it seems the only solution, to me.
