Subject [jira] Commented: (JAMES-901) build error
Date Thu, 07 May 2009 20:14:45 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JAMES-901?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12707079#action_12707079

Amichai Rothman commented on JAMES-901:

correction: the JRE is version 1.6.0_07-b06, but the JDK (where JAVA_HOME points to) is 1.6.0_12.
Not sure if it makes a difference.

update: also downloaded and extracted james-2.3.1-src.tar.gz on kubuntu jaunty. the shell
scripts (both in the root and in the tools/ant folder) have dos-like CRLF line endings which
have to be replaced for the scripts to work (that's a bug on its own - the scripts should
be formatted so as to be usable on their intended target platform). Finally I ran the build,
and got the same error as above. This was with Sun's JDK 1.6.0_13.
