Definitively your machine is not compiling the gwt stuff nor including
in your war file.
In the output of the 'Building hupa' module you should see lines like:

[INFO] Compiling module org.apache.hupa.Hupa
...
[INFO]    Compiling 24 permutations

And the war file should contain the folder /hupa with the client files
(js, html, css ...).

I'm pretty sure the problem is your maven version. Can you upgrade it
to 2.2.x and try again?
